Summer of Love Campaign Helps Southwest Center preserve vital programs, services

Summer of Love

Save Lives. Reduce Risk. Please Give.

Arizona's economy and the reduction of federal and state funding are taking a devastating toll on programs and services that help people living with HIV/AIDS in our community.

Less funding means a dramatic cutback in life-sustaining services for our clients.

We've had to reduce:

  • Prevention programming that reaches underserved, at-risk communities and thousands of youth each year.

  • Education and Support for those newly diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.

  • Wellness Services that help HIV-impacted men, women and youth stay healthy, strong and productive.

The Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS continues to work diligently to preserve programs and services by:

  • Raising funds from private sources.

  • Partnering with community health providers and public agencies to share costs, reduce costs and save/enhance programs and services.

  • Reducing pay and work force to compensate for funding shortfalls.

  • Exploring additional foundation and grant funding.

Even with all of these efforts, we're STILL falling short of providing the programs and services for those most impacted by HIV/AIDS. We simply need your help in challenging times.

Please consider becoming a Southwest Center Summer of Love partner today by making a gift that fits your budget. We want you to know that every dollar counts at Southwest Center.
