Pizza and the Basics meets on the second Saturday of every month, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This all-day workshop is open to the community free of charge.
The curriculum includes:
- Biology of the virus
- Transmission trends both locally and globally
- Modes of transmission
- Prevention strategies
- Testing
- Signs and symptoms
- Treatment
- Medication adherence issues
- Resistance and resistance testing
- Nutrition
- Naturopathic medicine as a supportive therapy
- Behavioral health issues
- Community resources
All materials are provided without cost, as are the meals (a light breakfast and pizza for lunch). We especially welcome those who are newly diagnosed and their support network. To enroll in the workshop, call (602) 307-5330 and ask to be placed on the roster.
